What we need:

Our creative department is seeking a Senior Designer who will collaborate with Copywriters and other team members to ideate and execute concepts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating designs that are on brand, align with the creative brief and ladder up to the client’s overall marketing goals. You’ll work on a variety of projects, executing them with timeliness and refining them as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Be a brand steward
• Concept and execute sound creative ideas for client marketing collateral in an efficient and economical manner
• Create concepts that show a thorough understanding of the strategy and are extendable into campaigns
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our clients’ brands
• Work independently and in conjunction with team members to develop and refine concepts, campaigns and creative ideas that reflect a deep understanding of the client’s audience
• Work alongside Copywriters, Production, Front-End Development teams to ensure creative vision is achieved and client expectations are met
• Prioritize workload and manage time effectively
• Work with Account Supervisors and/or Account Executives to obtain project specifics: strategy, budget and schedule
• Offer insight on creative briefs and schedules
• Collaborate with peers to overcome obstacles and create client success
• Offer client and team members innovative advice and solutions from industry examples and experience
• Help maintain and oversee client’s brand standards and guidelines
• Assist in negotiating with or supervising third-party vendors to ensure the client’s best interests are being addressed
• Organize creative resources as needed
• Work with agility and efficiency, with a willingness to learn our methods for success
• Mentor and onboard other designers as needed
• Complete all necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Advertising, Graphic Design, Commercial Design or Interactive Media Design, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of art director and/or design experience – diversified industries preferred
• Proficiency in Sketch, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and MS Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to contribute within a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated effective presentation skills
• Agility in an ever-changing environment and across multiple projects with various project leads
• An eye for design and thorough knowledge of electronic and print production techniques and the ability to make sound recommendations regarding their use
• Understanding and application of marketing and design principles to achieve project goals and implement creative solutions, with a curiosity about current and emerging digital channels and platforms
• Understanding of the competition’s products and services and how they compare with the clients’ products and services
• Understanding of the client’s audience
• Strong analytical skills, be decisive and exercise good judgement in all situations, seeking guidance from the Group Creative Director when appropriate
• Demonstrate the ability to function independently and be self-motivated
• Ability to contribute through the entire design life cycle, from producing rough concepts to delivering a polished solution
• Proven ability to listen, digest and resolve client feedback with a creative solution and a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to think in the big picture, while still maintaining attention to detail
• Strong creative and conceptual vision, with the ability to approach every assignment with a fresh perspective
