We're looking for a General Manager for our client, Anthony & Sylvan Pools! 
About Anthony & Sylvan Pools:
Anthony & Sylvan Pools is a premier builder of in ground concrete and fiberglass swimming pools. Since 1946, they have designed and installed more than 370,000 pools for home owners all across the nation. Their pools are easy to maintain and built for life. With additions such as vanishing edges, raised spas and rock waterfalls, your pool is an oasis in your backyard.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement procedures, setperformance objectives, and ensure that all operations and projects align with theCompany’s goals and quality standards, consistently delivering results in a timely andfinancially sound manner.
  • Assume responsibility for day-to-day fiscal management, ensuring strict adherence tobudgeted revenue and operating income targets. Regularly analyze monthly financialperformance indicators, making necessary adjustments to maintain divisionalprofitability. 
  • Lead the development and preparation of the Division’s annual business plan andbudget, closely monitoring progress against objectives throughout the year.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in anticipating and resolving internal and external resourcechallenges that may affect product delivery and quality standards, with a specificemphasis on cultivating a high-quality subcontractor network.
  • Contribute to decisions on advertising, marketing, pricing and other sales-relatedmatters. Stay attuned to current market trends and backlogs to optimize dailyprofitability and production.
  • Direct efforts to penetrate the market and foster sales growth, including spearheadingnew business development activities. Identify, analyze, and recommend strategicalliances to generate customer satisfaction, drive sales and achieve financial growth. 
  • Provides management oversight to the construction department staff, ensuring theymeet tactical operational needs while maximizing construction quality and deliveringexceptional customer service.
  • Champion continuous process improvement initiatives across all areas of the business. 
  • Uphold a company=wide focus on high quality customer service among all employees.Offer guidance and support when necessary to enhance customer satisfaction and,achieve annual customer satisfaction survey (CSS) goals.
  • Continuously assess industry, market and technology trends to evaluate their potentialimpact on business opportunities, making recommendations as necessary.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Human Resources Department to drive the recruitment,selection, orientation, development and retention of a high caliber staff, ensuring thehiring and training of well-qualified individuals who align with the organization's mission.
  • Acts as a liaison for the implementation and interpretation of corporate programs,policies and procedures. Initiate and advocate for new programs and policies necessaryfor long-term success.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned. 
  • Follow Anthony & Sylvan Pool’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA a plus.
  • A minimum of 8 years progressively responsible business leadership experience.
  • 4 years of proven experience in similar leadership role successfully delivering businessobjectives, including full P&L responsibility and the overall management of an operatingbusiness unit. Strong understanding of B to C sales / marketing concepts and techniquesis required.
  • Experience in localized business development and managing a sales team is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/capabilities in the areas of financial analysis, human resourceand business administration, legal and ethical practices, marketing, businessdevelopment and sales.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex business/financial data anddevelop innovative solutions. 
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge to evaluate P&Ls and quickly ascertain areas ofconcern.
  • Ability to facilitate progressive change.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and leadership/supervisory skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to be an effective member of and lead the most complex teams.
  • Ability to effectively use standard office applications software.
