Position Description Job Title: Strategic Partnerships SpecialistDepartment: Strategic PartnershipsDivision: Strategic DevelopmentReports To: Senior Director, Membership OperationsFLSA Status/Level: Exempt/AssociateLocation: DC Headquarters Position Overview: The Strategic Partnerships Specialist is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with NAM members and prospects. The position provides support including but not limited to project management, meeting management/operation/execution, sales and revenue tracking, and event staffing/execution. In addition, the position is responsible for adopting the mindset of our customers, resulting in one of the strongest proponents of NAM’s growth by handling inbound requests and leads for a suite of operational programs as well as partnership opportunities. This position entails strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication both verbal and written, strong attention to detail and proofreading, and the ability to put oneself in the customer mindset in order to drive revenue growth and efficiency, and proactively suggest solutions and ideas for the team, ideally using strategic thinking to build processes that are repeatable and scalable. This position requires some travel. Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways: Understand the NAM value proposition as well as the client goals to identify opportunities and handle correspondence.Qualify and respond to inbound leads, determine potential set of solutions; provide introductions to appropriate contacts or pass through to appropriate team member as needed.Support sales and growth goals by updating internal tracking documents and coordinating contract reviews, invoice prep and other pieces of the sales process.Assist with sponsor deliverables, including collecting of logos, boilerplates and other information as needed and coordinate across departments to provide information as needed for materials.Maintain accurate data on member engagement in operations programs, including active users, interested members and qualified leads.Serve as the “face” of operational programs for members and prospects and internal point of contact for membership to handle interested members, tracking and connecting with program partners as warranted.Manage relationships with several external partners for member programs to validate data accuracy, processes and open two-way communication.Attend meetings and events, including virtual, internal, and in-person, and assist with duties as needed for successful execution.The above list of responsibilities is representative of the position and is not intended to limit or preclude other responsibilities and tasks that may be associated with or added to the position. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct or indirect reports We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 4 years of comparable office or customer support experience.Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Excellent attention to detail.Minimum 2 years previous sales or sales enablement experience, to understand the customer journey and buy process.Knowledge of office equipment maintenance and basic computer troubleshooting.Strong organizational skills.Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Eagerness to learn and grow in the position.Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
