Strategic Communications Specialist
Constellation, Inc. seeks a Strategic Communications Specialist to join our Homeland Security Division to create communication strategies and develop content for internal use. In your role, you will Support strategy, design, and development of executive presentation materials and public facing communications aligned to Strategic Plan execution, to include quarterly briefs, progress reports, official memos, and ad-hoc requests by director-level clients.
The Strategic Communications Specialist will:
· Provides Management support including development of strategic communications, reports, assessments, and documenting standard operating procedures.
· Leverage knowledge gained of agency policy and processes to help define communication requirements, conduct analyses, and help to develop client solutions.
· Overall support includes meeting facilitation and logistics, stakeholder management, schedule management, development schedules, and reporting.
· Apply oral and written communication expertise to develop project deliverables, including analysis plans, written reports, briefing slides, and discussions with clients and stakeholders.
· Support studies and meetings; document and compile notes; analyze data; develop guides, standard operating procedures, trackers, and publications.
· Plan and develop internal communication plans.
· Write whitepapers and digital newsletters for internal use.
· Establish communication guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have the following required experience, background, and credentials:
· Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or other relevant fields
· 2 years of experience in this or a similar role for federal clients
· Proven experience in content writing and advanced PowerPoint skills
· Experience with developing communication plans
· Great verbal communication and organizational skills
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Ability to work individually and in a remote team setting
· Possess a current DHS clearance (CBP Preferred)
· Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,364.30 - $94,374.22 per year
