Do you want to gain hands-on experience in shaping strategic initiatives and advancing the capabilities in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)?Join the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) this summer for a rewarding internship experience in human resources as we look to refine and systematize our position description and recruiting process. Be an innovator in researching technologies that build and maintain position descriptions and then working with existing position descriptions on file, convert to a modernized, innovative technology platform for building and maintaining innovative positions that will assist in attracting top talent to the association. his paid internship offers the chance to work alongside recruiting and HRIS experts, contributing to impactful projects and initiatives that shape the future of the association’s recruitment efforts. No human resources experience required, but a deep desire to do comprehensive research, program identification and implementation and a strong audit mentality to systematize the position description process.Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways:Conduct research and analysis on position description writing and management systems.Assist in the development of a comparative analysis of various programs.Present findings along with cost benefit analysis for recommendations on technical programs.Support the conversion to a new platform for new and existing position descriptions.Support overall business operations of the Human Resources department by proving key coverage of front desk operations on a daily basis from noon – 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.We Are Looking for Interns Who Meet the Following Criteria:Candidate must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree-granting program during the internship or must be a recent graduate (within 8 months of graduation) of a college or university with focus in business, technology, engineering, or a related field.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a passion for driving innovation and systems improvement.Excellent communication and writing abilities, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling content.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.Two references, preferably from academic advisors or faculty members and from a previous work/internship supervisor if available.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Compensation:Interns are paid $22.00 per hour and typically work between 25-40 hours per week.Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain valuable experience in human resources and contribute to shaping the future of the NAM’s talent recruitment and retention efforts.Duration:The position will begin in early to mid-June and last 8 to 10 weeks.
