After the initial excitement wears off, Mr. Founder wakes up and realizes he has a whole host of a new set of problems to solve. He isn’t quite sure of his approach – and that’s where you come in .
What You'll Do:
As the Head of Timekeeping, you will become the beating heart of our business operations, ensuring the seamless flow of time that fuels our work, clients, and team. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and creative problem-solving abilities will form the backbone of our commitment to transparency and integrity. As the custodian of our timekeeping, you will not just be nurturing trust with our clients but shaping the very rhythm of our company.
Your key responsibilities will span the spectrum from spearheading time-tracking compliance, to crafting client invoicing and reporting and ensuring steadfast adherence to operational processes.
This role will also see you handle various administrative duties, which could range from depositing checks to curating thoughtful client and team gifts, and orchestrating travel plans to manage expenses.
In this role, you'll need more than just a keen eye for detail - you'll need a vision for precision that can pierce through the ordinary. Coupled with your outstanding organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, you'll be the conduit linking our internal and external stakeholders, and the guardian of our internal policies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Time Tracking Compliance
Time Entry Review: Regularly review team members' time entries for accuracy and compliance with company policy.
Train: new employees and contractors on 82i time tracking policies, provide feedback, and answer questions.
Time Reports: Ensure time entries are reconciled across all systems and documented and filed for record-keeping purposes.
Reporting: Track and review weekly client reporting, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communications with clients.
Invoices
Bills: Manage the payment of invoices, tracking due dates and amounts.
Client Invoices: Oversee client invoicing, including sending weekly update emails and managing collections.
Administrative Duties
Periodic onsite support of CEO: Deposit checks, handle physical mail and notices, file/print/scan as necessary.
Travel & Expense Management: Arrange and approve travel for internal teams, schedule team offsite events and plan logistics, collect and approve receipts and expenses
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in administration, with a proven track record of success in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure startup environment.
Located in the Annapolis, MD area; ability to travel to/from the CEO's office
