Full-Time (45 hours/week) Assistant Sales Support opportunity available for day/afternoon/evening and weekend hours floating to 5 convenient Stores (5-Holiday Station Stores, Coon Rapids, Golden Valley, Maplewood, Woodbury, and Oakdale)
When you join The LINN Companies as an Assistant Sales Support, you will provide high-level management assistance and support to all five convenience stores. This position will allow direct interaction at the store level including helping General managers with workflow, employee schedule needs, and procedural practices. You will get to work as a team with our Sales Support Manager to better position each location with needed high-level support. As an Assistant Sales Support Associate, you will be directed by the Sales Support Manager to work at different locations from one day to the next according to the store's needs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
· Implementing consistent procedural practices and standards required by The LINN Companies and Corporate Holiday/Circle K
· Preform procedural training effectively to help facilitate on-the-job training
· Follow up on all manager and employee concerns or inquiries with the ability to handle all issues effectively, professionally, and confidentially once an issue is raised
· Participate in documenting above & below standard behavior
· Fill in for management during vacation or other absences or training new managers
· Payroll hours approval and monitors procedures to control productivity, labor hours, overtime and expenses in each location
· Maintains multiple levels of checks and balances to control employee dishonesty (including tobacco audits, cash control, and alarm safety)
· Monitor ordering and product layout to obtain a fully stocked and most profitable offering to customers.
· Alert managers to report maintenance needs of the store immediately to obtain the highest level of operating standards.
· Train the importance of a high level of customer service, uniform consistency, enhanced customer care, and store cleanliness.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully you must have the ability to manage others well, while multi-tasking in high-volume locations, and must have 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in convenient stores or chain locations. Candidates must have exceptional communication and leadership skills, a very high regard for customer service, store cleanliness, and attention to detail. This job requires you to be on your feet for 8 hours per shift and carry up to 60 lbs. We are looking for all candidates to have a willingness to have a flexible schedule and travel to multiple stores according to needs.
