Job Summary
.
Service guests, retrieve and serve tea, alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Assist in the maintenance of the outlet area and equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: • Maintain complete knowledge of all tea, menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.• Maintain complete knowledge of Micros and manual systems.• Complete opening side duties:o Stock swizzle sticks, straws, and matches.o Stock glassware.o Restock supply cabinet.• Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.• Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up selling techniques.• Input orders into system and ensure guest count accuracy.• Retrieve orders from designated areas and serve.• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy.• Maintain positive guest relations.• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself.• Remove soiled wares from tables to dishwashing area.• Present guest checks and process payments.• Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.• Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.• Complete closing side duties:o Properly store all reusable goods.o Remove all items from tables; place clean items in designated areas; wipe clean all surfaces of tables.o Restock supply cabinet.o Secure all storage areas.• Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.Salary range $17.00-18.43

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking. Considerable repetitive motion of hands and wrists as pertaining to pouring of drinks from bottles and shaking with shakers.• Requires the ability to lift and carry object weighing up to 50 pounds.• Standing for 90% of work shift is required.SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:• Ability to exercise good judgments in determining potentially intoxicated guests.• Ability to exert physical effort in transporting trays and wine buckets from service areas to guests.• Ability to endure abundant physical movements in servicing guests throughout the work areas.• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.EDUCATION REQUIRED:• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Prior Food and Beverage experience preferred.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:• Food Handler’s Certificate required.• Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.• CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
