RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
· Assist with the training, development, and evaluation of all Banquet House Attendant colleagues to ensure all Forbes standards are met.
· Assist with Banquets House Attendant colleagues to comply with sanitation and safety standards for all guests and team members.
· Inspects all Banquet room equipment is in working order and takes corrective action by informing management and property operations.
· Oversees the set up and break down of all Banquet functions.
· Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Forbes standards.
· Work hard to ensure our guest experience is the best possible; making changes as needed to keep up with competition.
· Communicate with food and beverage Management daily.
· Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and line associates.
· Report duty as scheduled by direct supervisor according to operating hours.
· Coordinates servicing of special customer requirements through other departments and outside sources as required.
· Participates in the upkeep of the Banquet and Event Order (BEO) book.
· Attends BEO meetings with key Sales, Banquet, and Food and Beverage staff to ensure full and detailed understanding of upcoming events.
· Set up Banquet rooms per specifications on the BEO.
· Setting pads, pens, glasses, water pitchers.
· Maintain cleanliness of all Banquet rooms, equipment, and storage closets.
· Completing the weekly storeroom list.
· Ensuring the guests have all the boxes.
· Contributes to the general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas.
· Ensures the floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms.
· Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following event.
· Maintains all Banquet Department equipment, storage, and work areas properly: reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement.
· Help guests with any needs they may have including any last minute room changes.
· Be aware of and practice Langham Hotel’s service standards.
· Positive team player with the ability to get larger tasks completed.
· Provides feedback to the employee and department manager on the employee’s performance.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. High School diploma required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2 years of previous house banquet attended required. Prior hospitality luxury experience preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred. Basset and Food Handlers License.
