Primary Objective of Position:
Responsible for the set-up, break down, clean-up of all Banquet function rooms according to client and hotel specifications. Achieve a high level of guest satisfaction while maintaining high level of service as per Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Responsible for set up of tables and chairs to meet BEO specifications
Responsible for the breakdown of meeting rooms by removing china, glass, silver, buffet equipment, chairs and tables
Responsible for the cleanliness of meeting rooms by vacuuming, dusting ledges, cleaning walls and doors
Responsible for maintaining meeting room cleanliness during the functions
Responsible for securing functions space at end of shift
Responsible in assisting banquet servers, banquet kitchen staff, stewarding as needed
Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hospitality Group standards and Forbes service standards
Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
1 - 2 years of previous Banquet experience preferred
IL Sanitation License required
Luxury hotel experience preferred
Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, meeting room set up preferred
One year customer service experience required
