The Keller Group is closely partnered with an industry-leading real estate company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and lease administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties in accordance with GAAP standards
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
• Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities
• Prepare annual operating budgets and forecasts for assigned properties
• Review lease agreements and ensure proper accounting treatment for tenant reimbursements, escalations, and allowances
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed
• Stay informed of changes in accounting regulations and industry standards affecting real estate accounting practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate accounting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and property accounting software
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
