A day in the life…Wondering what a day in the life of a Senior Application Analyst at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
- Maintain a current working knowledge of designated software end-user needs.
- Serve as primary contact for physicians on all technology and software related issues; assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Develop materials and presentations and facilitate clinic-wide educational sessions as requested or needed.
- Analyze software capabilities and apply knowledge of end-user needs to define system specifications and design and validate efficient, effective workflows.
- Participate in manager, director and administration meetings as needed.
- Keep current and knowledgeable on all system changes and updates.
- Participate in vendor user groups and related training opportunities.
- Create new and deletes old user security for designated software.
- In collaboration with Information Technology, take accountability for software including, but not limited to, conducting maintenance, providing system support for data bases, reporting problems, testing, training and implementation of upgrades.
- Serve as contact for support related to designated software/hardware issues.
- Design training materials and prepare class schedules and trains physicians and other personnel on designated software.
- On-call for issues relating to software as needed.
- Serve as a member of the Information Technology “support team”.
- Maintain relationships with all personnel to facilitate positive working relationships in issue resolution.
- Maintain awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting area of responsibility and make recommendations for changes to ensure compliance. Actively pursue inconsistencies and appropriately bring to the attention of the Manager/Director.
- Promote a positive, professional image of The Iowa Clinic both internally and externally. Promote positive interpersonal relations with all personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and financial information.

This job might be for you if you have…3-5 years previous experience providing support for health information software, including but not limited to: Phreesia, Lightbeam, Group Management.
Working and remaining calm in a potentially stressful, fast-paced environment. The environment may cause high stress levels due to constant interruptions, high volume, urgency of issues and interactions with a wide variety of personalities.
2 years previous experience supporting and/or training physicians.
Previous experience in training and creating training materials.
