The Institute for Family Health is Hiring a COMPASS PROGRAM DIRECTOR Near New York, NY

The COMPASS Program Director will manage the day-today functioning of HIV programs, ensuring the provision of high quality, patient-centered care as well as compliance with program, agency and regulatory measures, and productivity benchmarks. The COMPASS Program Director participates as part of the COMPASS management team in the general oversight and planning of HIV services across the Institute for Family Health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing administrative supervision of COMPASS program staff on assigned grant program and cross-coverage for other COMPASS managers when needed.
  • Responsible for clinical supervision when appropriate and if not providing clinical supervision directly, is responsible for coordinating to ensure staff receives appropriate supervision.
  • Monitors compliance with grant deliverables and activities, ensuring program goals are met as required; responsible for completion of grant reports, both programmatic and budgetary.
  • Convenes and oversees programmatic meetings, including staff meetings, case conferences, consumer advisory board meetings, and other meetings as assigned; maintains meeting minutes.
  • Oversees orientation of new program staff and completes orientation checklist.
  • Serves as liaison for community outreach and linkage agreements as related to grant goals.
  • Prepares appropriate educational and other program materials, using harm reduction approaches and evidence-based information.
  • Assists in the preparation and updating of policy and procedure manuals.
  • Participates in audit/site visits preparation
  • Works closely with the COMPASS Program Associate to ensure timely and accurate data submission into required databases.
  • Assumes a leadership role in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects, as well as management of high risk patients
  • Provides crisis intervention and direct patient care as needed
  • Fosters strong interdisciplinary relationships with medical providers, nursing staff and other care providers through case conferences, huddles, and warm-handoffs.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field required
  • NYS licensure as LMSW, LCSW, or PsyD/PhD preferred
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments at any time
  • Experience in HIV, healthcare and/or social service settings
  • Ability to generate, interpret and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Technical knowledge of program development and relevant community resources, ability to develop linkage with community organizations, as well as excellent communication and human relation skills.
  • Program administration experience preferred.
  • Experience administering grant-based contracts preferred.
