The IMA Group is seeking a Medical Assistant- MA - to join our team in Hempstead! This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to join a growing organization. Salary of 18.50 an hour with fantastic benefits!

Job duties and responsibilities include-

• Knowledge of phlebotomy and EKG, assisting physician as needed.
• Staying on top of the daily schedule and keeping exams on time for efficient operations.
• Ability to work with all clients while maintaining calmness, consideration, compassion and respect.
• Complete month end reports, scan and email to the appropriate people as assigned.
• If assigned, place orders to replenish expired med kits.
• Make sure the office is always stocked with medical materials and gowns.
• Stay in the office until the last medical claimant leaves.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
• Work overtime if required.

EDUCATION

Required- High School with Medical Assistants training

Preferred- Certified Medical Assistants training or Associates degree

EXPERIENCE

Required- Training from an accredited Medical Assisting training program

Preferred- One to two years as a medical assistant in an occupational health setting
