Essential Functions:
• Perform all duties of a landscaper as directed by the Grounds Maintenance Foreman.
• Assist with the mowing of lawns and fields using both hand and riding mowers.
• Assist with the distribution of mulch in the planting beds.
• Assist with all required repairs and/or improvements to the storm water management system.
• Assist with the edging of all planting beds.
• Assist with the planting of all perennials and annuals as planned.
• Assist with the application of fertilizers and weed control.
• Assist with the pruning of all trees and shrubs.
• Assist with snowplowing.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
• This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position requires on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.
Travel
• This position operates snowplows, mowing equipment and other machinery across the campus grounds. Some local travel may also be required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma/ GED
• Vocational/Technical degree or certifications (Preferred)
• 1-3 years’ Maintenance of landscaping equipment
• 1-3 years’ general landscaping experience
Certification and Licensure Requirements
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check
• Pennsylvania Certified Applicator License (Preferred)
