The Hacienda at Georgetown is an exciting new luxury senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. A deep sense of hospitality and well-being are infused into everything we do and we want to build a team that shares those same values.
The responsibilities of the Sous Chef include:
1. Supervise all line cooks and stewards.
2. Planning and production of daily specials.
3. Assure that all recipe standards are maintained.
4. Maintain the staffing guide in the area.
5. Constantly taste and test the production in the kitchen.
6. Organize the daily production schedule
7. Fill out maintenance request for the area.
8. Make sure that the products and materials are properly rotated and dated.
9. Proper hygiene, storage and sanitation in the kitchen is the Sous chef's responsibility.
10. Make sure all left over product is properly utilized.
11. Request needed equipment from the Chef with anticipation and planning.
12. Do constant shoulder-to-shoulder on the job training of the line staff.
13. Develop training programs for the slow season to maintain interest and increase knowledge of the staff.
14. Make sure that the kitchen employees report to work clean shaven, with a clean uniform and name tag displayed.
15. Fill out any requested forms or reports according to the policies and procedures of the company.
