Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
- Serve as a high-level contact for customer account(s) while working directly in many cases with key customer relationships in conjunction with executive management.
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and potential future needs.
- Oversee development of new business with existing customer(s) and/or identify areas of improvement, to grow the account organically.
- Coordinate with production on schedules, delivery commitments, and improved OTD.
- Ensure complete and accurate processing and expediting of job orders.
- Review quotes including price, availability, delivery time, and other information as needed.
- Verify post-order activities: delivery updates, quality issues, return authorizations, are processed accordingly.
- Rectify product/service challenges by clarifying customer concern, identifying root cause, providing solution, expediting corrective action, and following up, to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Compile and maintain accurate actionable sales reporting on customer account statuses.
- Ensure timely/responsive communications, approachable service/solution attitude, order accuracy, backlog review in ERP.
- Monitor inventory requirements against customer order demand, maintaining forecasting and budgeting analysis.
Qualifications:
- Customer service / account management experience (preferably manufacturing)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions - Proficient in project management principles
- ERP experience (Epicor preferred)
- Blueprint reading a plus
