We are seeking a Theater Team Lead for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

The right Theater Team Team Lead checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of Theatre Ambassador and Park Informational Ambassador Teams including but not limited to: schedules, reports, data entry and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Develop Park Informational Ambassadors and Theatre Ambassadors to create a world-class service team by providing support, direction and guidance to teams and ensuring effective training for daily operations.
  • Oversee the sanitization of all high touch points in and around the Entertainment venues on a pre-determined schedule.
  • Verbally communicate and enforce Theatre Ambassador etiquette, and how to greet our Guests while working as a Park Informational Ambassador.
  • Assist Guests with information about various venues.
  • Meet, greet, and direct Guests in venues as needed.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of front of house theatres and surrounding areas and report any maintenance needs to Supervisor and Maintenance.
  • Maintain entertainment signage, as needed.
  • Provide training for new/current hosts, including how to handle Guest opportunities by following all company policies.
  • Ensure Guests’ needs are met through line management, friendly interactions, communicating accurate information in regards to park events, venue cleanliness and seating in theaters.
  • Responsible for collecting per-show attendance data and entering it into Park Pulse on a daily basis.
  • Able to file proper company paperwork; i.e. daily team reports, personal evaluations, and positive discipline.
  • Oversee special functions and assignments as needed.
  • Provide accurate park information to guests.
  • Serve as Theatre Ambassador, and Park Informational Ambassador point of contact in regards to all concerns or questions before contacting Entertainment PIC.
  • Perform Theatre Ambassador and Park Informational Ambassador Host’s duties, if needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to communicating and all information about Dolly Parton’s personal or professional life, her public and non-public visits to Dollywood and her public and private dealings with Dollywood and/or HFE between any and all parties outside of this position’s reporting structure.

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous Leadership experience preferred.
  • Able to use a PC with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software.
  • Excellent verbal communicator – consistent and detailed.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

  • Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver’s license and insurance.

  • Able to comprehend and analyze instructions and retain information.
  • Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to tolerate a fast-paced, hectic environment.
  • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time. Able to lift up to 20 pounds with assistance.
  • Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation.
  • Must wear costume as outlined by Entertainment team.
  • Able to tolerate various temperatures while working outside.
  • Able to work outdoors.
  • Able to climb steps.
  • Ability to work with and tolerate detergents and chemicals utilized in the area.
  • Able to wear all PPE as required.
  • Able to operate a 2-way radio and computer.
