We are seeking a Production Assistant for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. This individual is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while ensuring the success and profitability of our unique offerings. They also bring fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity, and genuine hospitality to their life and work. We seek an individual who can bring the vision of the resorts to life. The right Production Assistant checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the department Safety compliance paperwork.
  • Act as daily production assistant for appointed shows and their rehearsal period, if needed.
  • Provide production support for any special event or entertainment product.
  • Assist in any auditions, local or out of town.
  • Assist in coordination of projects involving both the Entertainment and other operating divisions.
  • Assist special projects as assigned.
  • Help develop systems and procedures designed to improve efficiency in Entertainment management and operations.
  • Assist with Purchase orders for the department.
  • Assist with the Park Pulse system and auditing.
  • Assist with payroll and PEF forms for the division.
  • Maintain a friendly and cooperative atmosphere of openness, participation, caring, appreciation and flexible leadership that invites Hosts to do their best.
  • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Be knowledgeable of Park (i.e., locations of buildings, services available, restaurant menus, show schedules, special events).
  • Answer questions from Guests and inform them of Park events, areas of interest, and Park information.
  • Create a positive first and last impression for Park visitors through Guest service, friendliness and attention to detail within all areas of responsibility.
  • Communicate division and company information on a daily basis to Hosts, if needed.
  • Monitor total park operations and solve issues as Entertainment PIC.
  • Assist with the department Safety compliance paperwork.

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a similar capacity in the Entertainment industry.
  • Working knowledge of P&L budgets, forecasting and scheduling preferred.
  • A proven track record of successful project management.
  • Intermediate computer experience with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance.
  • Must successfully complete of a pre-employment offer background check.

  • Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests.
  • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy.
  • Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation
  • Able to tolerate various temperatures while working indoors and outdoors.
  • Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job.
