We are seeking a Sign Fabricator for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

This role exists to provide maintenance, repair, replacement, design and production of signs and displays, as well as new additions and projects, in compliance with state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures and manages those processes with the Dollywood Company operating departments, HFE Creative Studios and outside vendors, suppliers, designers and producers of Dollywood Company signage product.

The right Sign Fabricator checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and repair signs, sign structures, and displays.
• Estimate time and materials required and submit reports of work performed.
• Design and fabricate signs from conceptual artwork, blueprints, and/or verbal communication through various specialized methods to include, but not limited to:
• Vinyl graphics design and processing
• Carpentry and dimensional framing
• CNC router operations
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
• Dimensional carving and sculpture
• Fiberglass, specialty coatings and painting
• Sandblasting and distressing
• Install signs and structures in compliance with industry standards supporting established themed environments involving the use of manual and power tools, man lifts, augers, excavators, and other specialized equipment.
• Report needs for additional supplies, equipment, etc., with adequate notice to insure that they are available when needed.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment skillfully and safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Pickup and delivery of signs supplies, hardware, lumber, and materials.
• Complete and submit routine reports and other paperwork in a timely manner.
• Erect scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
• Basic knowledge of applicable industry standards and OSHA Regulations.
• Assist and serve as back up to other facilities employees.
• Provide training, guidance and direction to other team members.
• Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, company policies & procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards
• Assist others as needed.

Education and Experience Required

Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience that demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/industrial environment, to include the use of hand tools and equipment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sign making industry.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance for use of Company vehicles.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, and work in confines spaces.
• Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds).
• Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 60ft.
• Able to operate/drive a motor vehicle.
• Able to tolerate approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants.
