The purpose of this 9-month, part-time position is to provide counseling, consultations, crisis interventions, supervision of graduate interns, and educational programming/outreach within the College community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides counseling and psychological consultation for undergraduate & graduate students
• Provides crisis intervention & management services including after hours on-call rotation
• Facilitates workshops & presentations for the college community
• Participates in outreach programming and advertisement to the campus community
• Maintains case documentation & record keeping according to NY State guidelines
• Supervises graduate counseling interns
• Performs other duties as assigned by the AVP of Student Development and/or designee.

• Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.

• New York State license to practice independently (LMHC, LCSW, or licensed psychologist).

• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of students in an inclusive setting and across a range of presenting problems, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression and trauma.
• Previous collegiate counseling or clinical experience with the developmental issues and concerns of college students.

This is a part-time position for the current academic year, beginning immediately and continuing through mid May 2024. Specific dates will be determined by supervisor. The position works 25 hours per week. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required. The successful applicant may be offered an opportunity to continue employment into the next academic year, depending upon campus needs.

Rate of Pay: $30/hour
