The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions develops and implements operational and strategic plans developed within Enrollment Management and in support of the department and the College's graduate enrollment goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all phases of recruitment and admission to graduate study on the main campus and at other locations
  • Represents The College of Saint Rose at recruitment events
  • Leads on- and off-campus presentations, including information sessions and class visits, for small and large groups
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with prospective students and influencers at feeder schools
  • Manages the admissions process for a designated applicant pool, including outreach to applicants
  • Acts as liaison with Faculty in specified academic areas, including collaborating on yield activities
  • Analyzes trends in higher education, and with peer and aspirant schools, to inform the recruitment and enrollment strategy at The College of Saint Rose
  • Shares responsibility for graduate communications plans, including print, email, and social media
  • Serves on campus committees that will further the graduate recruitment and enrollment strategy at The College of Saint Rose
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in a customer facing position such as sales, customer service, recruiting or marketing, preference given to candidates who have previous work-related role(s) in a sales environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency designing and delivering presentations, planning and executing programs/events
  • Self-motivation and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse teams
  • Ability to recognize recruitment and enrollment opportunities and challenges and to provide solutions-oriented recommendations to the Director of Graduate Admissions
  • Proven record of building and sustaining strong relationships with a broad range of internal and external constituencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Intermediate level computer skills using a Windows based operating system, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends
  • Experience working in a Customer Relationship Management system (e.g. Salesforce, TargetX, SLATE) is preferred

This is a full-time, full-year position. Some weekend work is required for recruitment events.*
Salary range-$46,800 - $52,000 annually.
