Pay Range: $57,244 – $71,556 annual compensation

Two (2) IT Technical Support Analyst I positions are available with the City of Fort Worth IT Solutions Department’s new Technology Support Division. This team provides technology services used by city executives, council members and their staffs, as well as supporting the audio/video equipment and technology in the city’s conference rooms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED.
• One (1) year of responsible computer related experience. 
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass a Criminal Background Check for CJIS.
• Minimum of one (1) certification specific to the role: CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , ITIL Foundations certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some college work preferred.
• PC hardware, basic networking.
• Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, mobile devices & tablets.
• Cisco Webex Room Bars & other audio/video technologies (Solstice/Mersive, Crestron, Extron).

The IT Technical Support Analyst I job responsibilities include:

• Provide executive level IT technical support for executive/legislative workspaces, the CMO and executive staff (compute, peripherals, mobile devices, lifecycle, etc).
• Support executive meetings and conference room equipment (Mersive, Cisco/WebEx, Crestron, Extron)
• Manage and track problem tickets for existing conference rooms
• Manage and track installation efforts for new conference rooms
• Engaging & tracking vendors to provide products & services in support of existing or new conference rooms.

Physical Demand

Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.

Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
