Pay Range: $57,244 – $71,556 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: FLSA Nonexempt position. Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid on-site work model available with supervisory approval; staff required to be on-site at least 2 days per week.

An IT Technical Support Analyst I position is available with the City of Fort Worth IT Solutions Department’s Network & Voice Services Division. This team’s responsibility consists of designing, configuring, implementing and maintaining network devices, perform monitoring and troubleshooting functions, as well as, providing health assessment, capacity and performance metrics to IT management.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma/GED.
• One (1) year of responsible computer related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass a Criminal Background Check for CJIS.
• Minimum of one (1) certification specific to the role: CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , ITIL Foundations certification.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Minimum of one (1) certification specific to the role: CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , ITIL Foundations certification.
• IP routing and switching fundamentals.
• Network management and network monitoring tools fundamentals.
• Troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose/resolve network system problems.

The IT Technical Support Analyst I’s job responsibilities include: 

• Assist the Senior Network Engineers with developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems.
• Maintain records of work completed and in-progress; and updates network documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations.
• Assist/Support other network related tasks/requirements as directed by management.
• Assist with the daily activities of local and wide area network systems, perform diagnostics, schedule preventative maintenance.

Physical Demand

Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.

Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
