Pay Range: $77,941 - $101,323 annually

Workdays & Hours: FLSA Exempt position. Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid on-site work model available with supervisory approval; staff required to be on-site at least 2 days per week.

A Sr. IT Technical Support Analyst position is available with the City of Fort Worth IT Solutions Network & Voice Services division. The Sr. IT Technical Support Analyst helps the City build strong neighborhoods, develop a sound economy, provide a safe community and fostering a healthy environment by having a well-designed and strong network infrastructure; crucial to these city efforts. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of responsible experience in information system technical support work such as operating systems, networking, server backup and recovery, or related fields.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of one (1) certification specific to the role: CCNA, ACMA, PCNSA, F5-CTP plus one of the following certificates: CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , ITIL Foundations certification.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass a Criminal Background Check for CJIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls or F5 BIG-IP.
• Four (4) years of experience managing, upgrading, and replacing Cisco network devices.
• Four (4) years of experience managing wireless networks.

The Sr. IT Technical Support Analyst’s job responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, maintain, & troubleshoot wireless, local & wide-area networks including access points, switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implementation and support of the network security infrastructure including firewalls, content filters, VPNs and all layers of network security.
• Develop network solutions that meet business needs for projects with varying size and complexity.
• Assist in mentoring and training lower level technical personnel.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance.

Physical Demand

Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
