ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. The Accounts Payable Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various accounts payable functions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Accounts Payable Oversight:
Manage end-to-end accounts payable functions, including vendor setup, invoice workflow oversight, and check run preparation.
Address internal and external accounts payable inquiries promptly and professionally.
Perform company credit card reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Expense Management:
Oversee internal expense reports, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
Verify the integrity of expense reports and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other relevant analyses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and approve expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Process Documentation and Compliance:
Document all accounts payable processes in accordance with internal controls to meet SOX compliance standards.
Prepare documentation for external auditors, facilitating quarterly reviews and the annual audit process.
Technology Integration:
Utilize and maintain expertise in expense platforms such as Concur, Navan (formerly Trip Actions), or similar tools.
Stay proficient in Excel and demonstrate an ability to adopt new technologies to enhance efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of accounts payable responsibilities.
Possess excellent communication skills to address inquiries, provide guidance, and facilitate smooth interdepartmental processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Over 7 years of experience in accounts payable.
Minimum 1 year in a people management role.
Proficient in Excel and adaptable to new technologies in a dynamic business environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with policies.
Ability to thrive in an ever-changing business environment and a passion for contributing to the success of small businesses.
Preferred:
Preferably holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
Experience at a Publicly traded company and/or SaaS company.
Experience with Concur, Navan (formerly Trip Actions), or similar expense platforms is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Hybrid. On-site 4 days per week
Core Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Temporary Role with the potential for Full-Time
COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE
