We are seeking a Senior Accountant to work with our team in our office in Minneapolis, MN. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal controls.

Our office is working in-office hybrid (In-Office: Tuesday - Thursday).

JOB DUTIES

• Responsible for calculating and recording estimated revenue for services.
• Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP.
• Account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and insights, including business unit reporting.
• Review/improve controls with general accounting and financial reporting areas.
• Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable support.
• Various other projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with professional services revenue recognition preferred.
• Retail industry experience a plus
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating with sales and operations teams.
• Enjoys a bit of chaos and can sort through it to find solutions.
• Willing to wear multiple hats and just do what it takes to get the job done
• Fluency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems proficiency
