Description
This role as an HR Generalist at AMT will be far from one-dimensional. This position will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of HR tasks including; composing company-wide communications, organizing training(s), assisting with the generation of payroll, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. This position will act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics and will support the Manager of Human Resources with various other projects and initiatives as well.
The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization while supporting the Manager of Human Resources, CFO and Finance staff, as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
· Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the company's strategic goals.
· Manage hiring, on-boarding and orientation of new employees by administering and initiating background checks, assisting with new hire paperwork and creating/ maintaining new hire files.
· Assist with recruiting, which includes sourcing potential candidates, phone screening, coordinating/scheduling in-person interviews and helping with preparation of offer letters as needed.
· Provide data entry and reconciliation support for the Association’s payroll: keep staff records up-to-date in the HRIS system, process timesheets, track missing timesheets and update HSA and 401k contribution reconciliation spreadsheet per pay period.
· Assist with various human resource activities such as coordinating new hire breakfasts, health screenings and other wellness-related events.
· Helps coordinate logistics for employee morale events (luncheons, holiday events, retirement parties, etc.).
· Assist with maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook.
· Maintains employee-related databases and files; Prepares and analyzes reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company; Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
