The Tesla Operations Manager will lead a high-volume manufacturing team at Gigafactory New York located in Buffalo, NY. The Operation Manager will oversee multiple areas and shifts ensuring safe and quality production of essential Tesla energy components. A successful candidate will be capable of developing their leaders, driving results through strategic cross-functional collaboration and communication; while supporting Tesla’s mission to help accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The ideal candidate will have a track record of significant achievements, tremendous drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.
What You’ll Do- Drive manufacturing teams to achieve established targets for daily going rate and on-time shipments as well as development and continuous improvement of key metrics
- Define shop objectives to meeting business plans, capacity & headcount target, and key performance indicators
- Ensure optimal use of resources and adherence to best safety practices
- Conduct analysis and prepare reports on projects and process improvements as well as make countermeasures for timely completion of project goals
- Build a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high-quality products against aggressive production targets
- Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & an environment of continuous learning and improvement
- Ensure consistency in standards and documentation. Monitor for compliance as well as support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
- Engineering Degree, experience, 5 year experience managing teams of people in a high-volume manufacturing setting, or equivalent
- Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- In depth understanding of mechanical and standardized processes
- Ability to command the english language, both written and verbal
- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Fluent with common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Supervisor Manufacturing Operations - $64,600 - $96,900/annual salary
- Associate Mgr Manufacturing Operations - $81,600 - $122,400/annual salary
- Mgr Manufacturing Operations - $102,000 - $153,000/annual salary
- Sr Mgr Manufacturing Operations - $122,400 - $183,600/annual salary
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
