Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining Alkegen's highest level of safety standards on site with all employees including identifying unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. Directs the production workforce for a given process to meet required daily key performance indicators (KPI’s) for Safety, Quality, and Production Rate and Cost. Coordinates staffing of work cells and shifts. Canvasses for overtime. Works with Production Planner to run production on assets as directed based on material flow, inventory levels and customer orders. Conducts operations, material handler, and QA tasks as needed. Reports production, material usage, and manpower hours on a timely and accurate basis. Monitor for incorrect performance reporting. Take all required actions to correct and establish rules and procedures with management. Maintains product integrity by ensuring compliance with established manufacturing and/or quality specifications through continuous process control techniques. Promotes the teamwork approach among shift personnel and between functions to maximize employee involvement in decision making. Trains and develop production team members to perform job requirements safely and effectively Process and analyze the data; report on developments and findings. Propose corrective actions as necessary. Recommends improvements and/or modifications to equipment and processes to increase productivity, minimize downtime, increase efficiency, and quality of the product. Shares information at regular meetings discusses problems and opportunities. Liaison with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and breakdowns to prevent downtime. Assists other branches in product testing and development for process improvement implementation. Addresses and resolves first-line management problems and issues. Monitors personnel and equipment for unsafe actions and conditions. Must comply with all Federal, State, Local and Company rules and regulations on Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Conduct periodic coaching sessions with direct reports. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time or without notice. Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate degree or other post high school training, preferred. 2 years experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and has the capacity to make sound business decisions. Proficient Computer Skills (MS Office Suite and Computer Databases). Effective Communication Skills Proficient in Adaptive Coaching skills of listening, asking and responding. Ability to generate training documents and operator instructions. The individual must also be able to work a 12-hour, continuous shift schedule (4 days on, 4 days off from 7-7 rotating days/nights) Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Be able to bend, stoop, lift, squat, walk, and stand for up to 12 hours at a time. Tools and equipment used: Fork truck, computer, wet scrubber, furnaces, small hand tools, tape gun, stretch wrapper, power washer, etc. Pay Range: $70k - $80k annual If you are interested in being part of a world class function here at Alkegen then we would love to hear from you.
