United Way of Buffalo & Erie County is currently seeking a part - time Production Clerk. This position conducts the copying, binding and/or other activities incidental to materials preparation and mailings for the organization. This position reports to the Senior Facilities and Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Operates all equipment in the production room according to schedules of job specifications as submitted by staff, picks up and delivers according to schedule, makes recommendations on how to prepare finished documents and works with staff to prioritize larger jobs.
• Assists in setup, production, distribution and inventory of supplies including campaign supplies, tabling items, and t-shirts.
• Processes all mail postings – first class and bulk mail.
• Opens daily mail jointly with another Facilities/Production staff.
• Jointly separates mail containing payments, runs control total, restrictively endorses check and deposits checks through Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
• Sorts and distributes mail daily.
• Consults with staff regarding the most cost effective way to mail all communication.
• Back up assistance for basic telephone system changes, conference room audio visual equipment, and copier and printer technology.
• Orders and maintains necessary supplies for Production and assists in inventory control for production.
• Stocks all supplies, maintains all equipment, and keeps neat all company copy centers throughout the day and calls for service when necessary.
• Maintains audio visual storage equipment log in/out system. This includes but is not limited to easels, flip charts, in-focus projector, over-head and television/video equipment.
• Trains replacement and temporary staff in production activity as needed.
• Liaison to copy center and production equipment vendors.
• Operates all technology in the production room. Responsible for training staff as appropriate in the operation of any of this technology.
• Assists and backs up the Facilities Technician position as needed, including inventory management.
• Relief answerer of UWBEC main phone line, depending on workload.
• Visibly demonstrates UW values of service, integrity, collaboration, accountability, equity & agility.
• Performs general office duties such as typing, filing, data entry, etc.
• Participates in building wide activities such as Day of Caring, etc.
• Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
• Attends organizational, departmental and committee meetings as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned, depending on workload.

Education, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent with at least five years of related experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining copiers, fax machines and mailing machines.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and correspondence.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Solid computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
