You Are:

• An experienced structural/bridge engineer who is knowledgeable, results-driven, and enthusiastic about great design and function.
• Passionate about creating innovative, leading edge, and functional structures.
• A team player who loves to collaborate and continue to learn and grow within the field of Structural Engineering.

You Will:

• Prepare cost estimates, plans, technical specs and calculations for various and diverse structure types with an emphasis on bridges and other transportation-related structures.
• Inspect in-service bridges, retaining walls, and other structures and make repair recommendations if appropriate.
• Plan phase of design, including preparation of Bridge Condition Reports and Type, Size, and Location (TSL) Plans.
• Prepare detailed calculations for the design of new structures, as well as load rating calculations for existing structures.
• Collaborate with other engineers on larger projects,and manage the completion of individual design tasks on smaller projects.
• Review documents for compliance with the clients’ standards.
• Ensure that the client’s expectations are met

You Have:

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Illinois or an EIT working towards an IL PE License
• Structural Engineer (SE) License in Illinois (preferred)
• Three to eight years of civil engineering experience with emphasis on structures/bridges
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, and MicroStation (experience with Illinois DOT and Tollway standards highly preferred)
• Structural design and analysis software experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple projects
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality work within established timelines and budgets
