Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Supervisor’s Title: CHRO

Department: HR

Location: Holt, Michigan

Job Description:

The HRBP will have responsibility for a wide range of human resources services in the Michigan plant and will aide with projects and responsibilities in various locations when needed. The ideal candidate will have an HR Generalist background and strong experience developing relationships, implementing compliant processes, and making sound decisions. This role requires a self-starter, who can work autonomously with a high-level of accountability.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide and ensure efficient, day-to-day HR administration and operations in assigned facility
  • Works closely with management and employees to maintain positive work relationships and morale, and foster engagement and retention
  • Serve as front line resource for responding to and solving employee concerns and questions
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting of hourly/salaried workforce
  • Manages disciplinary procedures consistent with TemperPack’s progressive discipline system and seeks advice from Director of HR and CHRO on complex issues
  • Thoroughly conducts investigations an determines appropriate resolution
  • Provides managers and supervisors with HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Manages leave and disability programs consistent with state/federal laws
  • Manages and ensures the accurate filing of important documentation in employees’ personnel files
  • Manages HRIS and ATS platforms
  • Assists and supports with the rollout of company HR initiatives
  • Travels to other TemperPack facilities as needed and assists in other duties as necessitated by the business

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, employment laws, recruiting, and compensation
  • A minimum of 5 years of HRBP or HR Generalist, in a manufacturing company preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
