Job Summary

  • Maintain, Repair and Support Biomedical Devices

General Accountabilities

  • Test or calibrates components or equipment, following manufacturer manuals and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Keeps records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment.
  • Inspects and tests malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following manufactures specifications, and using test and analysis instruments.
  • Disassembles malfunctioning equipment and removes, repairs, or replaces defective parts.
  • Performs preventive maintenance or services, such as cleaning, lubricating, or adjustment equipment.
  • Test, evaluates, and classifies excess or in-use medical equipment and determines safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment, in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Examines medical equipment or facility's structural environmental and checks for proper use of equipment to protect against electrical or mechanical hazards and to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Studies technical manuals or attends training sessions provided by equipment manufacturers to maintain proficiency in the field.
  • Explains or demonstrates correct operation or preventive maintenance of medical equipment to personnel.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Job Qualifications

Education: Associate degree

Experience: At least 3 years of related experience.
