Medical Receptionist / Greeter's Needed!
Description:
As a Patient Service Representative, you will be tasked with the following job duties:
- Greet patients and families at the front desk
- Troubleshoot issues with patients coming in utilizing the new iPad system for check-in/screening
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, call on referrals
- Answer questions about appointments, insurance, and payments
- Assist with the smooth transfer of patients between departments
- Assist with administrative work such chart prepping, and and maintaining medical records
- Coordinate patient appointments and information flow between departments and outside organizations
Day to day:
- All of their records come in faxed to email. Then saves them as PDF and puts in the patients chart
- If it's results for the patient, she reports to the staff to let them know the records are in
- If it's a new patient, she prints the document and puts on front desk
- Prints records
- Deadline Based work
- Records they prep for Friday's appointment need to be done by Wednesday
- Pulling 3-4 days in advanced for records
- First in the morning, they check the Medicaid in the system
- Go down to the basement to pull paper charts (rare but will be going up and down on the stairs).
- > Scan and file this document back in the system
- Majority of their Medical records, they use an outside service.
