Description:Client is looking for a someone technical who can partner with the IT Operations manager to oversee projects, rebuild the IT team, create policies and procedures and create standards. This person will be a jack of all trades but the main skills needed are AD (on prem still), VMware and Hyper V (don't need to be expert in both), VOIP, Good communication skills as you will be speaking with doctors, IT vendors, Field techs etc.
- Design data contingency plans and disaster recovery plans.
Supervise the planning, design, and implementation of server hardware and software systems.
Ensure documentation maintenance for supporting and sustaining managed solutions.
Support continuous process improvement by aiding in the development and refinement of processes to enhance product quality, performance, and productivity.
Manage projects and daily tasks within the IT Infrastructure Team, which includes hands-on involvement.
Management of servers, storage, hardware, and supporting software.
Ensure the availability of critical systems.
Provide technical assistance on issues and follow-up.
Establish system specifications by consulting with organizational peers, and analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
Proactively manage and monitor server hardware and systems software to identify performance-related issues and potential problems affecting availability.
Address security vulnerabilities promptly.
Upgrade systems, hardware, and software; develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements.
Stay updated on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining test labs.
Maintain the integrity of servers, software, and security.
Manage vendor relationships.
Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
Capable of working with minimal supervision, being a self-starter, and paying attention to detail.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in this role, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies
Proficiency with the following technologies
Windows Server 2012-2022.
Server virtualization VMWare/Hyper-V.
Storage Area Networks (SANs).
Active Directory
Microsoft Federation Services.
Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
VOIP.
Skills in system design and planning.
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from management and users.
Team player who can collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels within the company.
Experience with ticketing systems.
Availability to work nights and weekends, both scheduled and unscheduled.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
