Description:
Large Financial Institution is seeking a consultant to support the Treasury Accounting team while a current employee is going out on Medical Leave.
This team does balance sheet reconciliation. Basically, money in and money out vs spent. The team reconciling Incoming premiums, advancing loans, etc. Variable Annuities Reconciliations - Team of 8 in MPLS and there is a team of 5 offshore in India. There is a CPA on the team. Open area with natural light. There's a daycare and workout facility. Two cafs, they can use the store. The campus has covered parking, free and bus line accessible. There are walking paths for the lunch hour. Plenty of close lunch hour spots.
Tools used are SAP as a general ledger, Onbase is for documentation purposes. MS Office. Performance metrics are based around month end. Internal team communication.
Trained by the person taking the leave. Most likely reviewing everything the person processes.
Hours - (could start as early as 7am) 8am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday. Hour lunch or half hour. In the office every day. Once they have some proficiency they would be able to move to 3 days onsite.
Qualifications - HS Diploma, or AS in Accounting. Book keeping mentality vs accountant. People on the team have come from operations. Ask questions! Do you like to do puzzles? Critical thinking.
Start date - Mid June, due date is in July. Through Mid-October. 4 months. We would want to have an offer out on the 24th of May.
