Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our IT support team as a help desk associate at our public accounting firm. As an IT Help Desk Associate, you will play a key role in providing technical support and assistance to our staff, ensuring that their IT systems and applications function effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to gain valuable experience and grow within our dynamic and fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff, addressing IT-related inquiries and issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity for end users.
- Install, configure, and update software applications on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in various systems and applications.
- Collaborate with senior IT team members to escalate complex issues and follow through to resolution.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions using a help desk ticketing system.
- Assist in the maintenance and management of IT inventory, including hardware and software assets.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT support documentation and knowledge base articles.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in IT support.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive support experience.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office suite, as well as familiarity with common hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting software and industry-specific applications is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are beneficial.
