ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a skilled Candidate for this role who is admitted to the California Bar and possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment, and drafting oppositions. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with related appeals and conducting legal research in both state and federal courts.
RESPONSBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, and case law to develop persuasive legal arguments.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and precedents to ensure the accuracy and relevance of legal arguments.
- Draft, file, and argue motions, including legal briefs and memoranda, in state and federal courts.
- Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients.
- Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Successful completion of the bar exam
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
