As Tecton’s Product Design Lead, you will report directly to Tecton’s Co-Founder and Head of Product, and be responsible for Tecton’s design strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects: Lead design and user experience for all parts of our product. You will own the design process from prioritization through launch.
• Modernize Tecton’s Web-UI and UX: You will lead a modernization effort of Tecton’s web-ui that captures our end users’ attention, is simple to navigate and ultimately a cornerstone of making our customers fall in love with Tecton
• Establish a design system and modern startup design processes: You will update Tecton’s design system and processes that enable 1) the rapid shipping of new UI/UX capabilities and 2) a high performance team that spans UI Engineering, Product and Design
• Establish Product Design north star at Tecton: You will establish a design north star at Tecton that lays out the principles and foundations of how we approach Design, what’s important and what isn’t important
• End User advocacy: You will be opinionated and leverage a direct line to our customers to get insights and make decisions quickly. You will explore solutions, create prototypes, and dive into user feedback/data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement for every initiative. You will advocate for our users by continuously iterating on and evolving our core products and experiences.
• Translate Company Strategy: You will work directly with product/engineering leads to translate company strategy into prioritized initiatives in the roadmap and identify the right problems to solve.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will collaborate across various business functions to bring our product, brand, and experience to life.
• Hiring: You will help us grow the design team with more amazing people

• 8 years application design experience
• 4 years experience with Enterprise software
• 2 years experience at a startup
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
• Experience owning products from start to finish, working with engineers and PMs
• Exceptional visual design skills and understanding of UX principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Hands-on experience building design systems and information architectures
• Mastery of low and high-fidelity prototyping and its use in UX Research
• Mastery of Figma
