Sports Distribution is Hiring a Product Designer Near Chino, CA

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

A leading manufacturer and brand of Sports Training Equipment is seeking a Product Design Engineer. Product design development and improvement are essential to our success in this fast paced market.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Product Engineer will be responsible for developing new products and actively maintaining existing product specifications to meet our evolving manufacturing and marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and correct design issues of existing products.
  • Contribute to the design review process associated with new and redesigned products.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to ensure successful new product launches.
  • Interface with manufacturing departments to communicate engineering requirements for new products or component revisions.
  • Evaluate returned product claims and review product return data for product improvement initiatives.
  • Perform first article evaluations on newly sourced products.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of product engineering experience.

ABILITY

  • Conceptual thinking,
  • Mechanical savvy
  • Understanding manufacturing process both for hard goods and soft goods,
  • Able to understand full product lifecycle from concept to cargo,
  • See upcoming trends,
  • Able to produce concept sketches to convey ideas quickly
  • Ability to work with Hard Goods and Soft Goods luggage and carry bags

SOFTWARE

  • Microsoft Suite: word, excel, outlook
  • Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator
  • 3D: Solidworks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
