HR Generalist

• 
  Serve our team by coordinating human resources activities such as coordinating employee reviews, meeting safety and compliance expectations, overseeing benefits, and spearheading recruitment
• Spearhead safety and compliance efforts to ensure our roofing crews are using best practices and kept safe on the job
• Oversee the recruitment, interview, and onboarding processes
• Partner with managers to address performance issues early on to prevent little problems from becoming big problems
• Coordinate employee evaluations with management
• Listen to employees' issues, ideas, and recommendations and support them in achieving personal and professional goals
• Maintain and update employee personnel files in an organized & confidential manner
• Investigate accidents and workers' compensation claims and prepare reports for the insurance carrier
• Organize employee training events and company parties

Our Ideal HR Generalist:

• Experienced: 5 years in an HR or compliance position. Has or is willing to pursue SHRM certification. Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.
• Relational: Naturally connects with people on the team and earns their trust and respect.
• Firm: Understands the importance of enforcing policies and safety standards. Willing to engage in tough conversations for the good of the team.
• Team Player: Humble. Driven. High EQ.
• Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for training, navigating performance issues, mediating conflicts, and collaborating with management.
• Takes Initiative: We're looking for someone who likes to step into something new and create sound systems and processes.
• Organized: Able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Computer: Proficient in or can quickly learn Microsoft Teams

• $60-$65k/year. Depending on Experience
