About the Team: Our Business Analyst Team is a dynamic and integral part of our organization, playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. Comprising talented professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds, the team collaborates seamlessly to analyze, interpret, and translate business needs into actionable insights and strategies. By employing a combination of analytical prowess, communication skills, and industry expertise, our Business Analyst Team drives informed decision-making, process optimization, and the successful implementation of business initiatives.

About the role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Systems Analyst II to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to analyze, design, implement, and maintain efficient business systems and processes. As a Business Systems Analyst II, you will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into practical, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions.

Essential Functions

1. Requirement Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements.
  • Conduct thorough impact assessments to understand the implications of proposed changes on existing systems and processes.

2. System Design and Implementation:

  • Design and document comprehensive system specifications, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of system enhancements and new features.

3. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing systems and processes to ensure alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

4. Data Analysis:

  • Perform data analysis to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with data architects to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of implemented solutions.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any identified issues.

6. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant parties to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and project status.
  • Facilitate meetings, workgroups, requirement building sessions, and presentations as needed.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in business process modeling and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with early childhood or state/local government programs
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data visualization.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment:

This is primarily a remote position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00p.m. EST and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
