Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:
- Assisting in month-end close process and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Project setup and maintenance of all jobs with cost codes in financial system
- Initiating action with project teams to acquire any missing owner change order documentation
- Auditing owner billings for accuracy prior to posting
- Conducting Owner Change Order data entry in Microsoft Access
- Reconciliation of executed vs. posted owner change orders
- Preparing Work in Progress (WIP) reporting
- Accounts Receivable and cash activity postings
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Solid understanding of percent completion revenue recognition
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, energized, self-starter environment
- Detail orientated, organized, excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and accounting software
- Construction Accounting experience
- Knowledge of WIP (work in progress)
