A construction and development firm in Florida is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their growing team as they continue to build out their Accounting & Finance departments due to expansive growth.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for:

• Preparation or review of general ledger account reconciliations
• Supervision of fixed asset accounting and reports
• Assisting with the year-end corporate audit by preparing requested schedules/reports and responding to audit requests
• Assisting with the gathering of information and review of corporate tax returns
• Assisting with the annual budgeting process
• Generating financial reports for management
• Assisting with implementing adequate internal controls systems to assure the accuracy/integrity of all financial and operational data and to assure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Supervision and career development of the Staff and Senior Accountants
• Supporting Controller in all financial matters of the organization

Qualifications:

• CPA and/or parts passed
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5 years of combo national firm Public Accounting / Auditing & industry experience
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management
• Advanced proficiency with financial reporting and analysis ERP systems
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel; Macros, V-Lookup, Formulae's

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience in the Construction industry
• Background in Public Audit within the Construction & Development Industry
