Description
Company Overview and the Role:
Quality Built, LLC ("QB" or the "Company") is the nationwide leader in construction quality assurance and sustainability inspection services for production home builders. QB plans to continue to significantly increase revenues and EBITDA through organic revenue growth and margin improvement initiatives. The primary function of this role is assisting the CFO and Controller with responsibilities in various areas that include, but are not limited to, financial reporting, annual budget and rolling forecast preparation, key performance indicator reporting and analysis, cash forecasting, acquisition integration, and diversified critical special projects.
This position will report directly to the Financial Controller and provide integral financial and strategic support for QB, with a defined path for future advancement.
This is an exempt position.
This position requires employees to work onsite in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. Flexibility with a hybrid option may be provided at the Manager's discretion after the training period.
Specific Duties
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of monthly financial statements and analysis to management and board of directors.
  • Track progress against key strategic initiatives, providing management with timely financial updates.
  • Key involvement in the integration of acquired companies and implement procedures to ensure compliance with company SOPs.
  • Work with CFO and Controller to develop annual budget and rolling forecasts.
  • Maintain system to provide scenario planning analysis in growing and dynamic environment.
  • Manage special projects including implementation of new finance software solutions and integrating and unifying current software solutions.
  • Assist with enhanced treasury initiatives to ensure most efficient use of capital with maximized returns.
  • Assist in design, establishment, and maintenance of robust internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures, and review.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements such as sales tax and payroll tax filings.
  • Assist in year-end audit by preparing audit schedules, replying to and/or researching audit questions.
  • Other special projects as growth demands
Qualifications
Education and Skills Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field
  • Experience working within a Private Equity sponsored environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system (MS Dynamics GP preferred)
  • 5-8 years' experience of progressive full scope accounting work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP basis financial statements
  • Experience working with external auditors.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience in accounting procedures; preparing and maintaining accurate records (general ledger, financial statements, management reporting, P&L).
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Skilled in professional written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to executive management.
  • Successful track record of process improvement, automation, and digitization
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and accountability for results-orientation
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advance knowledge of accounting and analysis software tools
  • Collaborative and works well in a team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365
  • Previous acquisition analysis and integration experience a plus

Machines common to usual office operation including telephones, copiers, computers and database computer software.
Physical Requirements
Primary posture is sitting, although walking and standing in an office setting is required.
Standard Work Hours
Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm EST. From time to time, specific work assignments may require 40 plus hours, including evenings and weekends, as requested by your supervisor or an executive.
