If requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Job SummaryIn the Pirate Krewe Operations role, an employee will work part-time at all Tampa Bay Buccaneers home games in addition to large-scale events and Training Camp when deemed necessary. Main responsibilities will focus on adding to the overall game day and event atmosphere by engaging and entertaining fans as a pirate performer. Core Functions:Assist with all needs as directed for pre-game setup, in-game entertainment throughout the stadium and on the Pirate Ship, and post-game elements Know and assist with the functioning of the Pirate Ship Operations such as setting up and breaking down equipment, unfurling the sails/flags, firing t-shirt cannons, resupplying promotional items, and all ship giveaways throughout the entirety of the game or eventMonitor crowd control aboard the ship and assist with fan experience Select members of the team may be asked to assist with Firing the Cannons – requirements for this role include; Advanced knowledge of the game of footballAbility to separate themselves from being a fanPrior experience and/or comfortability working with pyrotechnics, gases, and special effects Secondary Core Functions:Engage with fans to create a fun and energetic atmosphere throughout game day and events by distributing giveaway items Interact with fans by maintaining in-pirate character throughout the game and events as neededAssist other game day crews and departments to enhance the overall Buccaneers game day or event experienceServe as an ambassador for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on game days and other eventsOther duties as assigned to enhance the overall game-day entertainment and event experience as deemed necessary or as directed by the Events & Entertainment Manager/Coordinator Skills & Abilities:Must be able to clearly communicate and react quickly in high-pressure/high-demand situationsAbility to work additional events such as Training Camp, and other high-level events as needed Ability to adhere to, deliver, and execute timelines, rundowns, layouts, promotions, and entertainment elements on game days Ability to work with and assist other crews as needed, working as part of a team and larger groupMust be lively, out-going, enthusiastic, positive, hardworking, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent in entertaining, engaging, and interacting with crowds and individuals by being attentive, reactive, and lively while staying in pirate character at all times, when the job function calls upon itAbility to work and interact well with the youth Ability to throw/toss promotional items, before, during, and after the eventMust be able to communicate effectively with teammates/leads and Events & Entertainment Manager/Coordinator and be responsive to feedback Experience & Education:Previous knowledge and experience working with special effects and pyrotechnics preferred, but not requiredPrevious acting or performance experience preferred, but not required knowledge of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL, Football, Raymond James Stadium preferred Work Environment/Physical Requirements:The Company is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.
