Responsibilities
Operational Leadership and Quality Assurance: Oversee daily operations to guarantee production quality and adherence to industry norms, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 standards.
Efficiency Optimization: Utilize lean manufacturing strategies and six sigma methods to heighten process efficiency and diminish wastefulness.
Team Management and Culture Development: Guide the operations team towards a culture that prioritizes continuous enhancement and operational superiority.
Collaboration for Design and Production Efficiency: Work closely with the engineering department to ensure designs are robust and cost-effective from conception through to manufacturing.
Supply Chain Oversight: Manage the supply chain to ensure the prompt availability of materials and delivery of end products.
Regulatory Compliance: Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Handle relationships with customers and suppliers, engaging in practices such as kanban, dock-to-stock, and vendor-managed inventory systems.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
Operational Management Experience: Demonstrable track record in operations management within the manufacturing sector, with a preference for backgrounds in metal stamping or precision components.
Expertise in Manufacturing Methodologies: Profound understanding of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with various teams across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree: Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related field.
Certifications: Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt), or Project Management.
Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the specific industry standards applicable to our operations, such as ISO 13485 for medical devices.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in using ERP systems and familiarity with CAD software.
Global Supply Chain Management: Experience in managing international supply chains and navigating global regulatory requirements.
