Job Title: Resident Resource Coordinator Reports To: Manager, Choice Neighborhoods Division/Department: Choice Neighborhood FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Resident Resource Coordinator will assist with the implementation of the Choice Neighborhoods resident engagement strategy to include conducting resident outreach and coordinating resident events. In addition, RRC will empower Choice target residents to lead healthy, thriving, and prosperous lives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work to connect and engage Choice target residents in community resources outside the scope of contracted partners.
Identify relevant community-based resources that could benefit the Choice target residents in their current communities throughout the Metro Area
Present CN Supportive Services, Programs, and new resources to target residents in group settings (Resident Advisory Council, Resource Briefings, school events, etc.)
Serve as a proactive liaison between CN Case Management and partners/service providers to increase enrollments and/or ongoing participation by providing a more personal touch with difficult-to-engage residents/youth.
Assist with Community Engagement efforts to include Community Events, Community Outreach with UCN businesses, schools, early learning facilities, clergy, etc.
Attend sessions/programming provided by partners & service providers and report back to the CN team on program strengths and weaknesses
Identify local venues in areas of concentration to connect Choice target residents to services more seamlessly.
Coordinate and provide Choice target residents' input for CN Website and Newsletter
Assist with coordination of Bowen Resident Advisory Council meetings and events.
Attend neighborhood association and Neighborhood Planning Unit meetings, and assist in distribution of marketing materials to the community at large.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, urban planning or related field required. Master's degree a plus.
2 years working with individuals and/or families to remove barriers to self-sufficiency.
Experience working with grant funded programs.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Ability to plan and successfully implement community engagement program(s)/strategies.
Ability to develop resident support for the implementation of community engagement goals for Choice target residents.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and work productively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage a wide array of tasks and projects with strong organizational/planning skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills particularly with diverse population; comfortable presenting specific messages to groups.
Proficiency in current office software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint.
Demonstrated experience and success working in partnership with local residents and community organizations on community engagement programs.
Working Conditions Works in an office environment in the assigned community. May require some bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting. Must have and maintain a valid state of Georgia driver's license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company "Authorized Drivers List." Must be able to attend community meetings during evening and weekend hours.
