Tailwater Lodge Altmar, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is currently hiring for a Catering Chef.

The Catering Chef position is responsible for the production, preparation and presentation of all banquet food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations in a quality manner. This is a on property working Catering Chef.

Requirements:

• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
• In Charge of Plate Presentation
• Monitor food and labor cost
• Arrange for repairs when necessary
• Training kitchen staff
• Administrative duties: Banquet Schedule, payroll, inventories, production sheets and working with the Purchasing Coordinator
• Attend Weekly Banquet Event Order Meetings
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Skills:

• At least three (3) years of Banquet Chef experience preferably in a high-volume hotel, banquet or catering facility in a quality culinary environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
• Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Credentials in health and safety training
